Mainly because I want to go to Japan so badly, future aspirations, it will happen.
The Winter X games went out in a fashionably huge way with Saun White wrapping up the superpipe competition with a perfect score and a fifth consecutive gold medal after completing a Frontside double cork 1260 on his last hit. Also last night we witnessed more history as Heath Frisby landed the first ever front flip on a snowmobile winning him a gold medal in the Snowmobile Big Air competition.
The highly publicized Norwegian snowboarder released this awesomely funny (which seems be the theme of the day) teaser for his upcoming full length documentary film which is set to release sometime in 2012. After the jump you can check out a few more vids of and by Torstein from his website which I highly recommend checking out. See his perfect score jump from the X Games as well as some funny sessions and skits in the park.
The Winter X Games kick off today at Buttermilk Mountain as we pay our respects to the life of Sarah Burke who sadly passed away just weeks ago. Athletes will be wearing bands and purple ribbons to commemorate Sarah Burke who had a huge impact in the sport of women’s skiing. There will be a tribute to Sarah at 9pm EST during the opening night of Winer X.
Just an incredible video from all aspects.
Snowboarding is much more than just banger after banger; It’s a journey, it’s euphoria, it’s pain, it’s excitement, it’s fear, it’s meeting new people, it’s sending it, it’s SNOWBOARDING.
Aaron was always the driving force behind this project. When it seemed like things weren’t gonna work out he always found a way to make it happen. He loved a challenge! I spent this last winter traveling around to many of his favorite places, meeting up with friends, and making some new ones along the way. I feel so lucky to have been able to share such great times with such an amazing person. When Aaron passed away in Chile this last July it was hard to even think about the movie, let alone sit down and edit hours of his footage from the winter. It wasn’t until Blake Paul sent me an email highlighting the fact that one of Aaron’s goals all season was to get everyone down to Chile and film a segment for the movie that I came to realize something that should have been so obvious. We had to head South and finish what he had started. Although we were physically missing the one person who really should have been on that trip I feel like he was actually with us more than ever. We’ll miss you A-ROB!
DCP takes some time out from his holidays to brighten ours (please ignore the fact the holidays were three weeks ago, and think of this more as a winter break farewell special) with this awesome cut of him traveling around the world skating, surfing, and riding some of the sickest mountains and most plentiful powder one could ever dream of, real nice piece here for you all to enjoy.
Lets be honest, music is not where is used to be, actually it is quit disappointing. While I have had Asher Roth and The Weeknd on replay, and by no means am I complaining, there needs someone new stepping up or just better music on a regular bases because good music is to rare these days. Seg-Way into he video above, where you can’t go wrong with some high quality H20, wait no I mean high quality snowboard footage. Enjoy this full length film by NItro Snowboards!
“At this time of the year last season, with my friends Guido, Tero and Matthieu we’ve decided to create our own movie production company called TimeLine Film.
With the support of my partners we have released a web serie during the season. We’ve tried to document more than just the action and show people what it takes as effort, luck and commitment to get the best possible big mountain video part in TB20 from Standard Films. Although the snow conditions were terrible in Europe last winter we hoped all season long we could have enough unseen action and interesting backstage material to come up with a movie and have a chance to share our experience. Here it is, THIS IS MY WINTER !”

After ten years of traveling around the world in contest-circuit, Finnish snowboarding legend Antti Autti decided to do things in his own way - he wanted to hit the natural terrain. He spent a year searching for the best spots and the deepest powder. Documenting these explorations gave birth to ANTIOUT.
A very high quality full length production covering one of the very best in the business around the world.
